Name : Babak Amin Tafreshi Biography : Date of Birth: 1978 in Tehran
He is a science journalist and educator, an active amateur astronomer and organizer at Astronomical Society of Iran, nature and night photographer and editor in chief at astronomy magazine of Iran, Nojum. Over 100 popular astronomy articles has been written by him and he gave many lectures to popularize astronomy in Iran and run TV shows in a live weekly dedicated astronomy show on Iranian TV. Babak has also contributed astrophotography featuring Iran's landmarks and night sky to the US magazines, Sky and Telescope and Mercury. He is best known for his eclipse chasing trips off the beaten path, from Europe and US to most remote areas of Africa, and from white covered Antarctica to rain forests of Amazon. Together with the other two photographers they hold annual photo exhibition of nature and night sky in Iran and often in other countries.
